Historic 18th-Century Villa

The Historic Wedding Villa in Varese

The villa where celebrations have always taken place...

Villa Ghiringhelli takes its name from the family of Antonio Ghiringhelli, who purchased it in 1976, fully renovated it, and made it his home in the 1980s. Within the villa’s walls, hosting receptions and parties was a regular occurrence: from lunches in the ground-floor rooms to summer evenings in the park, Antonio Ghiringhelli loved to entertain—welcoming fellow townspeople, institutional representatives, collaborators, and clients from his textile business.
The Villa Today
After Antonio’s passing, the villa was entrusted to his daughter Maria Antonietta, who, in the 2000s, decided to revive the festive and joyful atmosphere that once filled its rooms.

Together with her daughter Rita, Maria Antonietta opened the doors of Villa Ghiringhelli to those looking for a venue for weddings, private events, and corporate gatherings. She invested in making all areas accessible, including the cellars, and took care of the park to offer guests stunning views of Lake Varese and the Monte Rosa mountain range.

Today, Villa Ghiringhelli has become a sought-after destination for young couples and companies, as well as for families and groups of friends looking to enjoy a festive day in an exclusive location just steps from Varese

Indoor Spaces

THE INTERIOR ROOMS

On the ground floor of Villa Ghiringhelli, you’ll find five rooms adorned with original 18th-century frescoes. The furnishings reflect the villa’s warm, convivial atmosphere, featuring cozy lounges, fireplaces, a piano for live music, and charming corners to relax.

The indoor rooms can accommodate over 100 guests, with additional seating available in the veranda overlooking the park.

THE BEDROOMS

On the first floor of the villa are two elegant bedrooms: one with a pink marble bathroom, the other with a frescoed coffered ceiling and an onyx bathroom.

These rooms are available to the bride and groom both before and during the event—for a moment of rest or a quick outfit change before the evening celebrations

THE CELLARS

The cellars at Villa Ghiringhelli, characterized by 16th-century vaulted ceilings, have been renovated into a charming space ideal for hosting informal dinners.

Inside the cellars, you’ll find a fully functional wood-fired oven, where skilled pizza chefs will prepare margheritas, capricciosas, and all kinds of pizzas for you and your guests

THE NIGHTCLUB

Also on the lower level is a nightclub designed by Villa d’Este’s interior designer, Architect Dotti.

The space is pure 1970s style, with a black marble floor and orange sofas. A large disco ball in the center of the room enhances the party atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for music-filled celebrations.

THE CHAPEL

The villa houses a consecrated private chapel that can seat up to 20 people.

Today, the chapel is available for photoshoots, but for religious ceremonies, guests are invited to
use the parish church of Azzate, located just a 5-minute walk from the villa entrance.

THE COURTYARD

Villa Ghiringhelli features a noble inner courtyard ideal for receptions, events, and weddings. The atmosphere, both during the day and in the evening, adds a special and unique touch to every celebration.

The romantic views and backdrop of the villa make the courtyard a truly exclusive setting for those who want to add a little extra magic to their event.

Outdoor Spaces

THE PARK

Villa Ghiringhelli is surrounded by 20,000 square meters of greenery: a centuries-old park, partly designed in the Italian garden style. During events, the park is available to guests for relaxing walks and admiring the breathtaking view of Lake Varese.

Upon request, the park can also be set up for symbolic ceremonies and outdoor receptions.

THE BELVEDERE

Villa Ghiringhelli extends from the Belvedere of Azzate and Piazza Ghiringhelli—an area
recognized by the FAI (Italian Environmental Fund) as a heritage site for its stunning views of Lake
Varese and the Monte Rosa range. The light reflecting off the water throughout the day evokes
ever-changing emotions and amazes even the most distracted visitors.

THE CAVES

The caves of Villa Ghiringhelli are garden areas shaded by ancient tree branches, forming natural
and refreshing grottos, especially pleasant during summer. This area is equipped with a sound
system and is mostly used for aperitifs and guest receptions.

THE POOL

In a separate area of the park, there is a veranda and a pool, which can be used upon request and
only under lifeguard supervision.

Recently built, the pool is also suitable for small, intimate parties and is the ideal setting for stylish
receptions or poolside celebrations.
